Summary:
The Claims Associate Analyst is responsible for coordinating and supporting initiatives relative to the evaluation, processing, and handling of cargo claims for STG Distribution. Acts as a liaison between the organization, its insurance provider and agents, claimants, and carriers regarding the status and eligibility for coverage for all relevant claims. Submits, administers, and generates reports to STG Claims Manager, and upper management related to claims. Position will also include other cargo claim related job functions along other STG lines of business including job responsibilities related to subrogation and multiple mailbox monitoring/responses.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Reviews, evaluates, processes, and makes recommendations for timely handling and resolution of cargo claims from initial opening to claim close.
- Acts as a liaison between the company, its insurance providers, agents, third party administrators, claimants, and carriers regarding eligibility of coverage and claim status.
- Subrogate all claims to mitigate company and customer loss, negotiate disputed settlements and process payments to customers.
- Enforce carrier agreements to maintain delivery requirements and all customer contractual resolution windows.
- Communicates reporting procedures and notification of claims to managers, supervisors, and employees.
- Maintain claim files and reporting/recordkeeping requirements.
- Prepares claims costs reports for management, sales, and accounting.
- Analyze trends in frequency and severity and prepares loss data reports.
- Submits required reports and notices to insurance providers.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
- Associate's degree preferred
- 2+ years of related experience preferred
- Knowledge of cargo claims
- Knowledge of insurance coverages.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Exhibit excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to organize and prioritize workload.
- Ability to handle confidential information in a professional manner while using sound judgement and discretion in processing claims and assisting management.
- Ability to work in cooperation with others as a team to achieve desired results.
Compensation & Benefits Information:
- Salary Range: $48,300 - $69,037
- Bonus Eligible
