About the Role & Program: ABC News Studios is a non-fiction studio within ABC News charged with producing narrative documentaries , docuseries and news specials for Hulu, ABC Network, Disney+ and National Geographic. We are seeking an intern who will assist in production for multi-part narrative non-fiction projects, single-hour topical narrative specials for Hulu, and network specials. This internship is a full-time internship from June 2026 to December 2026 in the NY, NY area.
Responsibilities
• Logging and researching video, stills and editorial information
• Media management of large-scale production under deadline pressures
• Extensive administrative functions including support of senior production staff
• Generating ideas for storytelling and narrative production
• Reporting, research and booking
Requirements
• Experience using Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
• Exceptional organizational and administrative skills with a high attention to detail and experience multitasking in a fast-paced environment
• Conscientious, self-motivated, and proactive
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
• Experience working in collaborative environments and managing multiple projects
• Experience with researching
• Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:
• Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship
• Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program
• Be at least 18 years of age
• Possess unrestricted work authorization
• Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule and fully available (around 40 hours weekly) from Monday to Friday during typical business hours for the duration of the internship
• Able to work from the office four days a week and remote one day
• Able to provide own housing and have reliable transportation to/from work for the duration of your internship in the NY, NY area
Nice-to-haves
• Previous experience (academic or internship) in print and/or broadcast journalism, television, news, news media production and/or television news script writing
• Familiarity with archival and digital resources
• Understanding of production technologies in both pre- and post- production
• Major or previous coursework in Journalism, Film, Communications, Media Studies, Film/Television, or a related field
• Junior or Senior year preferred
