Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Record-Keeping: Update and maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger postings, account reconciliations, and financial statements.
- Transaction Processing: Process business transactions using QuickBooks Online and Desktop, including accounts payable and receivable, disbursements, expense vouchers, and receipts.
- Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and analyze financial reports, including bank deposits, statements, and reconciliations.
- Data Entry and Management: Daily enter key data of financial transactions into a database, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Accounting Support: Provide accounting and clerical support to the accounting department, including assistance with special projects and tasks.
- Problem-Solving and Research: Research, track, and restore accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies, and inform management of any issues or concerns.
- Compliance and Regulatory: Function in accordance with established standards, procedures, and applicable laws, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements and Qualifications:
Essential Qualifications:
- Proven Accounting Experience: A minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, preferably as an Accounts Receivable Clerk or Accounts Payable Clerk.
- Bookkeeping and Accounting Procedures: Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures, including financial statement preparation and analysis.
- Technical Skills: Competency in MS Office, databases, and QuickBooks Online, with hands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial reports.
