The Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) is seeking a full-time Accreditation Coordinator. This role provides support and interpretive guidance on accreditation standards to postsecondary institutions and volunteer evaluators before, during, and after on-site team visits to assess compliance with the standards of accreditation. Responsibilities - Coordinate all aspects of assigned accreditation school visits, including but not limited to scheduling visit logistics, developing teams, preparing materials, providing administrative support for visit meetings, editing reports, maintaining records, and responding to inquiries - Evaluate school documentation for compliance with established standards, as well as provide consultative guidance and feedback to volunteers and school representatives regarding ABHES policies and standards - Prepare and present summary reports during Board of Commissioners meetings, and collaborate with the Board of Commissioners during accreditation meetings - Prepare draft correspondence (Commission Action Letters) to schools summarizing the Commission’s accreditation decisions - Serve as staff liaison to internal committees - Assist with additional accreditation initiatives, determined through consultation with their supervisor, based on organizational needs and the coordinator’s skills and interests Skills - Support and interpretive guidance on accreditation standards to postsecondary institutions and volunteer evaluators - Collaborative mindset, independence, attention to detail, and the ability to work with multiple staff and outside stakeholders - Coordinate all aspects of assigned accreditation school visits, including scheduling visit logistics, developing teams, preparing materials, providing administrative support for visit meetings, editing reports, maintaining records, and responding to inquiries - Evaluate school documentation for compliance with established standards - Provide consultative guidance and feedback to volunteers and school representatives regarding ABHES policies and standards - Prepare and present summary reports during Board of Commissioners meetings - Collaborate with the Board of Commissioners during accreditation meetings - Prepare draft correspondence (Commission Action Letters) to schools summarizing the Commission's accreditation decisions - Serve as staff liaison to internal committees - Assist with additional accreditation initiatives based on organizational needs and the coordinator's skills and interests - Significant travel to postsecondary institutions across the United States and its territories, approximately 13-15 days per month during visit months Benefits - Paid time off - 100% company paid medical/dental/vision benefits for the employee - 6% company match retirement contribution - Tuition reimbursement - And more Company Overview - Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) helps in evaluating the educational, institutional degrees and certificates.
