Chamberlain University, a renowned institution with a 130-year history, is seeking a passionate and experienced Adult Med-Surg Clinical Nursing Instructor to join our team in Stafford, VA. About the Role:
We are looking for a skilled and dedicated nurse educator to teach our Adult Med-Surg Nursing course, focusing on the needs of adult patients and their families in relation to health promotion and management of conditions that require acute and chronic care. As a clinical instructor, you will be responsible for planning and supervising clinical experiences, evaluating student performance, and providing feedback and remediation as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Implement the College's philosophy, curriculum, program outcomes, and course objectives through clinical teaching and service
- Plan and supervise clinical experiences for nursing students, providing direct supervision and evaluation of student performance
- Evaluate and provide documented feedback to students on their level of performance based on course objectives
- Orient and maintain current knowledge related to agency/clinical policies, procedures, and expectations
- Develop and post written clinical assignments consistent with student knowledge base, skill competency, and individual learning needs
- Contribute to the ongoing development, implementation, and evaluation of the programs and the College
Qualifications:
- Master's (MSN) or doctoral degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited college or university
- Unencumbered professional nursing license in Virginia or NLC Compact state
- At least two years of professional experience within the last five years in the area of instruction as a registered nurse
- Teaching or precepting experience is preferred but not required
- Genuine passion for nursing, education, and lifelong learning
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
