The Employment Development Department (EDD) is seeking an Associate Management Auditor to join their Audit and Evaluation Division. This role involves conducting independent, objective, and risk-based audits to support EDD's goals and ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
Responsibilities
- Conduct independent, objective, and risk-based audits and evaluations
- Provide advisory services and consultations to strengthen EDD's programs
- Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, policies, and standards
- Analyze and interpret data to assess the adequacy of system controls and identify areas of risk
- Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to foster teamwork
Skills
- College graduates with a bachelor's degree who have taken the Staff Services Management Auditor exam and have list eligibility are encouraged to apply
- Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without the need for visa sponsorship by the start date of employment
- A Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) is Required
- The SOQ must be typed in 11-point Arial font, single-spaced, and NOT exceed two (2) single sided pages in length
- The SOQ must have applicant's first and last name, classification applying for, and job code number
- Applicants must meet the Minimum Qualifications stated in the Classification Specification(s)
- Experience in/ability to conduct risk-based audits, including compliance, fiscal, performance, and information technology, in accordance with the Global Internal Audit Standards and Generally Accepted Government Auditing Standards
- Experience in/ability to apply critical thinking skills sufficient to plan and conduct complex risk-based projects and to analyze and interpret data to determine an area's compliance, adequacy of system controls and data, and level of risk associated with the area under review
- Experience in/ability to research, gather, and analyze information, drawing sound, complete, and accurate conclusions
- Experience in/ability to work collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders, maintain cooperative working relationships, and contribute to the success of a team effort
- Proficiency utilizing computer software applications with emphasis on Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and TeamMate
