• *About the Role**
Alexandria Law Group is looking for a legal professional to serve as the primary liaison between our firm and the independent contractor attorneys we hire to make court appearances and handle traffic dockets across multiple jurisdictions.
This is an excellent attorneys or former attorneys who want to stay connected to the legal profession through meaningful, flexible work. If you have practiced law in the past and are looking for a way to put that experience to use on your own schedule, this role was designed with you in mind.
• *What You Will Do**
Your work will center on three main areas: recruiting, monitoring, and reporting.
• Recruiting and Hiring Support:
• You will actively recruit independent contractor attorneys through platforms like Indeed and other channels. When candidates apply, you will conduct initial interviews, evaluate their qualifications and fit, and report your findings and recommendations back to the firm's leadership, who will make the final hiring decisions.
• Performance Monitoring:
• Once contractor attorneys are onboarded, you will be their main point of contact. You will conduct weekly check-ins to see how things are going, and keep a record of how each attorney is progressing through their assigned dockets.
• Metrics and Reporting:
• You will track basic performance numbers, like how cases are being resolved, and put together simple reports for the firm on a regular basis. These reports help leadership stay informed on how things are going across the network to ensure clients are receiving high-quality representation.
Please note: This role does not involve practicing law, conducting legal research, or drafting legal documents. Your legal background is valuable because it allows you to evaluate attorney performance and communicate credibly with practicing lawyers, not because you will be doing case work yourself.
• *Who Should Apply
• Education: Juris Doctor (JD) required.
• Licensure: An active law license is not** required; candidates who previously held a license are welcome and encouraged to apply.
• Preferred Background: Prior experience practicing misdemeanor law and/or traffic law is a strong plus.
• Key Skills: Strong communication, interviewing ability, organizational skills, and comfort with tracking and reporting metrics.
• Work Style: Self-directed, reliable, and comfortable working independently in a fully remote setting.
