The Role (Independent Contractor) We are seeking a high-performing Business Development Manager to operate as an Independent Contractor (1099). This role is designed for autonomous professionals who prioritize high-stakes upside and strategic impact over traditional employment structures. Your mission is to embed Askitect as the mandatory data infrastructure within Property Management (PM) workflows. Key Responsibilities • Strategic Workflow Integration: Lead the deployment of Askitect as the primary interface for tenant move-in/move-out inspections. • Dispute Mitigation & Triage: Position Askitect as the "dispute killer" that provides lease-grade defensible reports and instant maintenance triage. • Partner Acquisition: Target and close mid-to-large PM firms struggling with vacancy costs and security deposit friction. • Channel Management: Establish Askitect as the exclusive intake channel for tenant repair requests to ensure evidence-based reporting. Requirements • B2B Sales Record: 3-5 years of success in PropTech, SaaS, or InsurTech sales. • Operational Intelligence: Deep understanding of the PM lifecycle and the financial drivers of asset management. • 1099 Mindset: Ability to operate with total autonomy, managing your own pipeline and execution strategy. • First-Principles Thinking: Ability to articulate Askitect’s inspection engine logic and the value of structured data assets. Compensation • Base Retainer: Competitive monthly base to support operations. • Uncapped Commissions: High-percentage payouts tied directly to recurring report volume and usage. • Activation Bonuses: Cash rewards for successful pilot embedding and full-portfolio on-boarding. Job Type: Contract Pay: $45,000.00 - $111,748.87 per year Experience: • B2B sales: 3 years (Required) Willingness to travel: • 25% (Preferred) Work Location: Remote
