Leyton is a global innovation funding consultancy seeking a driven and detail-oriented Business Development Representative to join their high-performing U.S. sales team. This entry-level role is ideal for recent college graduates or individuals at an early stage in their career, focusing on lead generation, client engagement, and collaboration with experienced professionals. Responsibilities - Conduct outbound cold calls (~80%), emails, and LinkedIn outreach to generate qualified leads - Research and identify potential clients using Salesforce, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and industry directories - Develop and manage a strong pipeline of prospects across multiple industries - Identify decision-makers, understand business needs, and qualify opportunities for Consultants or BDMs - Communicate Leyton’s service offerings and schedule discovery meetings - Maintain a positive and professional client experience at all times - Accurately document all interactions in Salesforce, tracking leads, activities, and outcomes - Participate in regular sales strategy meetings and report progress to the Sales Manager - Collaborate with Consultants, BDMs, and cross-functional teams to optimize outreach strategies - Consistently meet and exceed monthly KPIs and revenue targets - Represent Leyton at industry events, networking sessions, and virtual meetings when required - Contribute ideas to enhance lead generation and sales processes Skills - 1–2 years of inside sales, business development, or client-facing experience is an asset but not mandatory - Prior experience in prospecting, cold calling, or consulting/finance is advantageous - Professional Sales certification from a Business School, such as Arizona State University, is a relevant advantage for this role - Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Marketing, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory - Strong business acumen with interest in innovation funding or financial products - Confident, persuasive communicator with excellent phone and email etiquette - Autonomous, results-driven, able to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail - Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; Salesforce or other CRM experience is a plus Benefits - 8 days (144 hours) of accrued PTO per year - 5 days (40 hours) of accrued sick leave - 401(k) with employer matching. - Medical, dental, vision, prescription, and paramedical coverage. - Healthcare FSA and HRA - Paid holidays, vacation, and sick leave (compliant with state and local law) - Complimentary time off in the summer and at Christmas - Summer Fridays (half days in July and August) - Fun quarterly team events and a supportive, inclusive workplace environment - Volunteer and community engagement opportunities - Work From Anywhere (WFA): up to one month per year - Work From Any Leyton Office: up to two weeks per year, subject to approval Company Overview - We are an international consulting firm that helps businesses leverage financial incentives to accelerate their growth.
