At Teya, we’re building the future of fintech for small businesses, and our Legal team is a trusted partner in enabling that growth. As Commercial Legal Counsel, you’ll play a key role in supporting the legal function across a wide range of matters – from commercial contracts and corporate governance to regulatory advice and dispute resolution. Be part of a collaborative, agile, solutions-driven and rapidly growing legal team.
Work closely with stakeholders across the business, as a core part of the legal and procurement review process.
Draft, review and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements, including intra-group and third-party supplier contracts, partnership deals, and technology arrangements.
Provide legal input on strategic initiatives, product launches, and cross-border projects, ensuring alignment with regulatory and commercial objectives.
Collaborate with external counsel on complex or specialised matters.
Help develop and maintain legal templates, playbooks, and internal processes to drive efficiency and scalability.
Provide general legal support across other areas, including disputes and regulatory matters, as needed.
Qualified solicitor (England & Wales preferred) with 2-3 years PQE, ideally gained in a top-tier law firm and/or in-house legal team.
Strong experience in commercial law, with the ability to manage a varied and dynamic workload.
Fintech, payments, or broader financial services experience is highly desirable.
Excellent communication skills with a commercial, pragmatic and solutions-oriented mindset.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with shifting priorities.
