Job Description:
• Evaluate and manage claims including investigations, evaluations, and negotiations
• Oversee litigation process to minimize company risk of loss
• Analyze coverage issues and conduct investigations
• Prepare and draft legal correspondence
• Maintain and update claim files
• Communicate with parties regarding claim status
• Assign claims to outside counsel
• Negotiate claim settlements within limits
• Conduct legal research
Requirements:
• Doctor of Jurisprudence (JD) degree or a related field or equivalent education and/or experience
• Licensure to practice law in the applicable state jurisdiction(s)
• 2 Years Relevant legal and/or professional experience in insurance claims
