Dawn Foods is a global leader in bakery manufacturing and ingredients distribution, and they are seeking a Cyber Security Engineer I. This entry-level role is responsible for protecting the network and systems from cyber-attacks while supporting cybersecurity solutions and ensuring compliance with security policies.
Responsibilities
- Assist and support cybersecurity solutions for organizational systems and products that comply with all applicable security policies and standards
- Work with IT and internal and external business partners to ensure that security is factored into the evaluation, selection, installation, and configuration process of hardware and software
- Analyze and make recommendations to improve network, system, and application architectures
- Examine network, server, and application logs to identify trends and security incidents
- Assist in reviewing and updating cybersecurity policies, architectures, and standards
- Assist in responding to audits, penetration tests, and vulnerability assessments
- Investigate new technologies to determine their usefulness and make recommendations accordingly
- Assist with legal investigations and compliance reporting
- Review with 3rd party vendor solutions for risks and reporting
- Assist with cybersecurity-related training and testing
- Ability to multitask and adapt to a high-paced IT environment
- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested
Skills
- A High School Diploma or GED is required
- An associate's degree in computer science, cyber defense/security, information technology, or a related field, along with a minimum of 1 year of experience in cybersecurity, desktop support, or networking; 3 years of relevant IT experience will be accepted in lieu of a degree
- Experience in troubleshooting IT solutions is preferred
- Cybersecurity, IT Security or similar certifications (Cisco, CompTIA, Microsoft, ISC2), or progress toward obtaining them, is preferred
- Experience with or coursework in computer programming or scripting (Python, PowerShell, or similar) is preferred
- Experience working in team-based, collaborative environments
- Customer service experience is preferred
