Position Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Data Modeling Lead to lead enterprise data modeling initiatives on the Snowflake data warehouse platform within a healthcare payer organization. This role will own day-to-day data modeling deliverables, lead a team of data modelers, and drive the design and implementation of scalable, cost-effective, and maintainable data models that power enterprise reporting, advanced analytics, and 360-degree business views (Provider 360, Member 360, Claims 360).
The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in healthcare payer domains and modern data warehousing methodologies including Data Vault, Kimball dimensional modeling, and medallion architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold layers).

Key Responsibilities
1. Leadership & Delivery Ownership
• Lead and mentor a team of data modelers across multiple healthcare domains.
• Own day-to-day modeling deliverables, sprint commitments, and quality outcomes.
• Establish modeling standards, naming conventions, governance, and review processes.
• Conduct design reviews and ensure adherence to enterprise architecture principles.
2. Enterprise Data Modeling
Drive end-to-end development and governance of:
• CDM (Conceptual Data Models) – Define high-level enterprise data domains and subject areas.
• LDM (Logical Data Models) – Define detailed business entities, attributes, and relationships.
• PDM (Physical Data Models) – Design optimized Snowflake schemas.
• Data Dictionary (DD) – Maintain comprehensive metadata and business definitions.
• STTM (Source-to-Target Mapping) – Ensure accurate transformation logic and traceability.
3. Architecture & Modeling Methodologies
• Apply Data Vault 2.0 principles in the Bronze and Silver layers for scalable, auditable data integration.
• Implement Kimball dimensional modeling techniques in Gold layer for analytics and BI consumption.
• Design data models aligned to Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold).
• Ensure cost-effective Snowflake storage and compute optimization strategies.
• Design models that support current reporting and evolving BI/AI use cases.
4. Data Quality & Profiling
• Guide development and implementation of a robust Data Quality (DQ) framework.
• Review and validate data profiling outputs.
• Define data quality rules, reconciliation standards, and validation processes.
• Ensure lineage, traceability, and auditability across domains.
5. Healthcare Payer Domain Leadership
Lead modeling across key healthcare payer domains:
• Product
• Provider
• Claims
• Member
• Pharmacy
• Finance
• Sales & Underwriting
• Actuarial
• Quality
• Clinical
• Services
Ensure integrated enterprise views enabling:
• Provider 360
• Member 360
• Claims 360
6. Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
• Partner with Data Engineering, BI, Actuarial, Finance, Clinical, and Operations teams.
• Translate business requirements into scalable enterprise data models.
• Support regulatory reporting and compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with enterprise data governance teams.

Required Qualifications
• 10+ years of experience in data modeling and enterprise data warehousing.
• 5+ years in healthcare payer domain (strong understanding of claims, eligibility, provider, and financial data).
• 3+ years hands-on experience with Snowflake data warehouse.
• Deep expertise in:
• Data Vault 2.0
• Kimball dimensional modeling
• Medallion architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold)
• Healthcare payer data ecosystems
• Strong experience building CDM, LDM, PDM, Data Dictionaries, and STTM.
• Experience implementing Data Quality frameworks and data profiling tools.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $111,699.01 - $134,519.23 per year
