Data Scientist - F/T
Overview
Uses analytical and problem-solving skills to provide analyses and solutions that satisfy the needs of project. Ability to select the and extract precise details/data to produce the relevant information. Support various teams within the organization to track the required data by creating dashboard using SQL, python and excel, etc. Provides ad-hoc support to management, performs updates, and maintains existing reports.
Role
• Leads teams in the creation of portfolio robust analytical solutions through effective use of Mastercard’s global data assets and software platform
• Consults with clients/ stakeholders to understand and translate their needs into a data analyses and/or solution, ensuring that their requirements are accurately captured and technically feasible
• Guides others in comprehensive technical analyses and allocates work across teams to ensure the delivery of high quality and effective solutions
• Liaises with internal stakeholders (e.g., O&T, Legal, GP&S) to identify and elaborate on opportunities as they relate to analytical solution development, feasibility, and other technical offerings
• Leads development of client presentations, custom reports, data files, and technical documentation
• Identifies and recommends opportunities to standardize and automate efforts to ensure quality and enable scaling of data analyses/ analytical solutions
About You
• Position requires a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Computer Engineering or related and two (2) years of experience in job offered or as a Business Intelligence Analyst, or related.
• Qualifying experience must include one (1) year with each of the following: SQL; Hadoop; Python and Excel; Tableau; Power BI; Analytical/problem solving skills.
• Rate of pay: $124,541.00 - 169,000.00

In line with Mastercard’s total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role. The base salary offered may vary depending on multiple factors, including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay Ranges
Purchase, New York: $110,000 - $176,000 USD
