What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Conduct detailed financial and complex investigations into alleged unethical conduct of attorneys
- Gather evidence, conduct demand audits, and perform interviews related to investigations
- Prepare accurate and detailed investigative reports, effectively communicating findings and recommendations
- Render trial assistance to Deputy Ethics Counsel and testify in formal ethics proceedings
- Manage a caseload of complex investigations while adhering to time guidelines set by Court Rules
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university
- Minimum of five years of professional experience in conducting investigations or financial analysis
- Strong written communication skills essential for report preparation
- Ability to manage complex investigations and meet deadlines
- Valid driver's license in New Jersey if vehicle operation is necessary for job duties
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- CPA, CFE, or similar credentials
- Experience in detailed financial analysis and bank account reconstruction
- Familiarity with data analysis and statistical reporting
- Previous experience in legal or regulatory environments
- Demonstrated ability to interface with law enforcement and disciplinary agencies
