Job Overview and Responsibilities
As an AI Software Engineer at Delta Airlines, you will be responsible for developing and implementing AI and ML solutions that address real-world problems and improve the customer experience. Your key responsibilities will include:

We work closely with business units to drive specific initiatives, but we also run our own projects, including democratizing innovation across Delta and exploring the impacts of disruptive trends in our industry. We have an office located near Delta HQ in Midtown Atlanta, which allows us to be at the heart of the Atlanta tech scene, and we regularly visit HQ to collaborate with our colleagues. Essential and Preferred Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, and 3-4 years of experience in AI and ML
- Experience with at least one general-purpose programming language, such as Java, C/C++, Python, or R
- Strong experience with Python for programming development and knowledge of complex techniques and subtleties of programming development in Python
- Experience with at least one of the following: Natural Language Processing, sentiment analysis, classification, pattern recognition
- Development experience with AI frameworks, such as TensorFlow, Microsoft CNTK, scikit, Keras, Caffe, Gluon, Light, SageMaker, Azure AI
- Experience with basic web UI and API development
- Experience and familiarity with presenting to technical audiences
- A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent, and authorization to work in the US
Preferred qualifications include:
- Experience working in the travel or aviation industry
- Knowledge of cloud-based technologies and containerization
- Experience with agile development methodologies and version control systems
- Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design patterns
