As an Associate Data Scientist in our PRM division, you'll be part of a dynamic team that uses advanced quantitative analysis and modeling to inform business decisions. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to identify business problems, develop data-driven solutions, and implement models that drive revenue growth and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy advanced quantitative models using operations research, statistical, machine learning, and programming skills to drive business decisions and operations.
- Utilize data engineering and programming skills to clean and preprocess data, create data pipelines, and deploy models to production.
- Collaborate with partner teams to understand business problems, develop solutions, and improve existing models and automated processes.
- Present findings and insights to stakeholders, including senior management, and communicate complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner.
- Work primarily in Python, SQL, or other coding languages to develop and implement models and algorithms.
- Develop hypotheses to test and understand the implications of results, and coach and collaborate with other team members to drive continuous improvement.
- Maintain code standards, participate in code reviews, and document workflows, models, and code.
- Assist with ad-hoc reporting and analysis as needed.
Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- A Bachelor's degree or higher in Economics, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
- Previous professional experience with SQL, Python, R, or other coding languages.
- Experience with statistical analysis and modeling, with a strong understanding of quantitative concepts and techniques.
- 0-2 years of relevant professional experience, with a preference for experience in airline pricing, revenue management, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable:
- A graduate degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related field.
- Experience in a carrier pricing, yield management, revenue analysis, or a related role.
- Knowledge of operations research, statistical, machine learning, or programming solutions and techniques.
