About the Role
If you enjoy solving problems and interacting with people from across the country, or maybe just a few towns over, this is the career for you! As a Customer Collections Account Representative at blithequark, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing assistance, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive experience. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and a customer-focused mindset.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
- Make arrangements with customers to pay balances in full or set up the best possible arrangements
- Document all collection activity in the client/blithequark system in a concise and accurate manner
- Correct any deficiencies or oversights as outlined by management during telephone monitor, file activity, or QA reviews
- Maintain good public relations and cope with high-stress environments caused by speaking with emotional callers
- Adhere to company attendance, punctuality, and meal and rest break requirements
- Maintain concentration and focus in order to meet performance goals
- React positively to an ongoing, changing environment
- Demonstrate the ability to handle pressure when attempting to meet deadlines and performance goals
- Maintain good working relationships with assigned supervisors and coworkers
- Work safely without presenting a threat to self or others
- Perform additional duties as required by management
What We Look for in a Candidate
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to remain engaged on the phone throughout the entirety of your shift with minimal to no distractions
- Possess computer/technology savvy with the ability to smoothly operate multiple windows and tabs, while simultaneously providing Best-In-Class Customer Experience speaking to customers over the phone
- Superb attendance, so you can be there when our customers need us
- Excellent communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and a customer-focused mindset
- Energetic, enthusiastic, and engaging personality
- Driven to deliver effective results while providing excellent customer service
- Extraordinary communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:
- Previous experience in customer service or collections
- Knowledge of FDCPA, state, and city laws and provisions
- Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
