Job Summary
We're seeking an experienced Customer Service Agent to join our team on a part-time basis. As a Customer Service Agent, you'll be the first point of contact for our guests, providing friendly and personalized service to ensure their travel experience is seamless and enjoyable. You'll work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, handling a variety of tasks and responsibilities, including ticketing, baggage handling, and resolving customer complaints.
Responsibilities
As a Customer Service Agent at arenaflex, you'll be responsible for:
- Providing friendly and personalized service to our guests, ensuring their travel experience is seamless and enjoyable.
- Handling ticketing and baggage handling tasks, including operating a computerized point-of-sale system and resolving related complaints and problems.
- Working in a cooperative spirit to ensure the success of our organization, providing legendary customer service to people desiring to travel, use cargo or baggage service.
- Handling cash, checks, credit cards, travel vouchers, and coupons as forms of payment for tickets, computing charges, making change, and balancing daily transactions.
- Checking in baggage and cargo, answering telephone calls to provide information to callers, page customers, resolve problems or complaints, and assist as needed.
- Dealing with mishandled customers as a result of oversells, delayed or cancelled flights, lost, delayed, or damaged luggage, resolving such problems quickly and within guidelines established by the company.
- Providing current and accurate fare, schedule, reservations, flight arrival/departure information, and answering all general inquiries from customers and other visitors to the airport terminal.
- Completing forms and reports as required by the company, writing irregularity and complaint reports as required.
Requirements
To be successful as a Customer Service Agent at arenaflex, you'll need:
- Able to type and/or use a computer keyboard with sufficient speed to meet demands of the job.
- Ability to read documents, follow instructions, learn and understand ticketing procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Ability to work well with others as part of a team, meet the public, and work under stressful situations.
- Able to satisfactorily complete Customer Service Agent training program with an 80% or greater average and an evaluation period.
- Aware of hazardous situations and able to handle emergencies as needed.
- Ability to work under tight time constraints to accomplish quick turns of aircraft.
- Presents a well-groomed appearance in accordance with the Ground Operations Employee Handbook and Labor Agreement.
- Able to perform all job functions within a limited space.
- Effective communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
- Able to communicate information and instructions verbally or via radio equipment.
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:
- Foreign language skills.
- Previous experience in customer service or a related field.
- Ability to work shift work and/or overtime.
