Job Summary
As a Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you'll be the face of our brand, providing exceptional service to our customers, ensuring our stores are well-maintained, and contributing to a safe and secure shopping environment. Your role is multifaceted, requiring a blend of customer service expertise, operational efficiency, and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Engagement: Greet customers warmly, assist them in finding the products they need, and ensure their shopping experience is nothing short of exceptional.
- Store Maintenance: Assist in maintaining a clean, well-stocked store environment that invites customers to shop comfortably.
- Merchandise Management: Help unload merchandise from delivery trucks, organize products, and stock shelves to ensure the store remains well-stocked and visually appealing.
- Transaction Processing: Accurately handle customer transactions using our POS system, ensuring a smooth checkout process.
- Safety and Security: Remain vigilant about customer activity to ensure a safe and secure shopping environment for everyone.
- Flexibility: Be prepared to perform a variety of tasks as assigned to support the effective and profitable operation of the store.
What We're Looking For
Essential Qualifications
- Completion of high school or equivalent; ability to follow directives and interpret operational documents.
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in retail, hospitality, or a similar environment.
- Ability to work a flexible, full-time schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical capability to lift up to 40lbs regularly and up to 55lbs occasionally, and to meet the demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Knowledge of POS systems and basic math skills.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
