Job Overview
This role is an integral part of our Payments and Digital Strategy team at arenaflex Credit Union. As a Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for handling various tasks related to check processing, item processing, direct bills, and fund transfers. Your primary goal will be to provide top-notch service to our customers, ensuring that their needs are met efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete data entry and balancing tasks with accuracy and attention to detail
- Coordinate return items with contributors, vendors, the Federal Reserve Bank, and other institutions
- Assist other departments with fraud resolution, member inquiries, and related Accounting standard ledger balancing
- Work on member cases and tasks assigned, ensuring timely and effective resolution
- Follow and maintain guidelines and procedures to ensure strict compliance with NACHA regulations and guidelines, as well as Federal Banking laws
- Process loan payments, multi-account and member deposits, credit card payments, and other checks, including IRA, bankruptcy, and payoff checks
- Review, examine, and approve Remote Deposit, Mobile, ATM, and other imaged-enabled products
- Log, report, and make necessary GL, account changes, and/or returns
- Process Stop Pays and Check Batching, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
- Complete daily balancing and department closing tasks, maintaining a high level of organization and attention to detail
- Obtain information from members for timely and accurate processing of international and domestic fund transfer requests
- Research and confirm incoming and outgoing fund transfer information, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations
- Communicate with vendors to process fund transfers, maintaining a high level of professionalism and customer service
- Understand and be familiar with outgoing and incoming fund transfer laws, ensuring compliance and adherence to relevant regulations
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A high school diploma or GED
- Intermediate Excel and Word skills, with the ability to learn and adapt to new software and systems
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:
- Previous customer/member service experience, with a focus on providing exceptional service and support
- Previous banking or Credit Union experience, with knowledge of relevant laws and regulations
- Episys/Symitar and processing wires experience, with the ability to learn and adapt to new systems and software

- Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
- Ability to work extended hours in support of business needs, with a focus on flexibility and adaptability
- Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to provide top-notch service and support to our members
