As an Experienced Customer Technical Service Representative in our Pet Food division, you will be the main technical contact for arenaflex customers, providing process assistance and material support to ensure efficient runability of our products in customer facilities. **Key Responsibilities**
As an Experienced Customer Technical Service Representative, you will:
* Act as liaison between arenaflex customers and our manufacturing plants
* Interface with customers and their employees to provide process assistance for products
* Provide customers with machine parameters for product materials
* Respond to customer requests for problem resolution
* Troubleshoot and analyze materials for customers
* Work with sales to respond to customer issues
* Manage relationships with sales force to meet customer needs
* Recommend other product options in support of sales when authorized
* Troubleshoot potential problems with customer and their employees
* Document customer issues and resolution
* Request lab testing on samples to further identify material issues
* Test samples on arenaflex equipment to identify additional opportunities
* Assist in determining product specifications for customer's needs
* Install, setup, and provide training of arenaflex packaging equipment
* General preventative maintenance of arenaflex packaging equipment
* Audit, troubleshoot, and repair arenaflex packaging equipment
* Travel up to 70%, as needed
* Other duties as assigned
**Essential Qualifications**
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* Bachelor's degree in packaging, engineering, or comparable work experience in flexible packaging production or maintenance
* 5-10 years of experience in flexible packaging production/maintenance or packaging machine production/maintenance
* Experience in the flexible packaging industry and/or meat/cheese/pet food packaging; strongly preferred
* Previous experience in manufacturing organization; preferred
* Knowledge of, and experience with, printing and converting industry and equipment; preferred
* Strong knowledge of the flexible packaging process from film production through the packaging and shipping processes of finished products
* Computer skills – report writing, Microsoft Office
* Troubleshooting skills – packaging machine and flexible film interaction and mechanical issues
* Strong mechanical aptitude – machine breakdowns and upset conditions
**Preferred Qualifications**
While not required, the following qualifications would be an asset:
* Master's degree in packaging, engineering, or related field
* Certification in packaging or related field
* Experience with arenaflex products and equipment
* Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and industry standards
