Job Summary
The Studio Research & Analytics team at blithequark is currently looking for a Data Analyst to support blithequark+ Product, Marketing & Content Curation, and In-Home Marketing & Distribution agencies. As a Data Analyst, you will work closely with the blithequark+ Product teams, analyzing and synthesizing data, as well as providing support for quantitative and qualitative research projects for key partners. The primary areas of responsibility for this role focus on blithequark+ Product and Consumer Experience monitoring programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with a wide range of qualitative and quantitative research activities, including collection and training of data, as well as extraction and analysis of data from multiple sources to build summaries, tables, and report sections.
- Combine disparate data sets using SQL to support the daily operations of the blithequark+ consumer experience monitoring program.
- Partner with different teams to conduct research at blithequark, including communicating project goals, business needs, and timelines to effectively prioritize, innovate, and optimize datasets.
- Build and maintain relationships with research counterparts in the team and from other divisions of the company, as well as external vendors.
- Analyze and prepare ongoing and ad-hoc reports using quantitative and qualitative data for various teams in the product marketing, engagement, & product strategy of blithequark+ and the blithequark Streaming Bundle.
- Manage assigned projects, implement quality assurance processes, and report obligations and status to supervisors to ensure completion within established timeframes.
- Work with the Sr. Manager and team, ensuring that each outcome is strategically actionable and drives key decision-making.
- Collaborate with the team & analytics teams within Snowflake & Databricks.
- Maintain up-to-date verbal & written understanding of data points and requirements.
- Respond to critical data requests from internal clients.
- Support the presentation of findings based on research conducted and contribute to related business discussions.
- Stay at the forefront of SVOD & In-Home business trends amidst a continuously evolving landscape.
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Business, Statistics, Economics, Psychology, Data Sciences, or a related discipline and 3 years of applicable work experience OR a Master's Degree in Business, Statistics, Economics, Psychology, Data Sciences, or a related discipline and 1 year of applicable work experience.
- Proficiency with SQL, with the capability to extract and integrate disparate data sources.
- Ability to extract data and integrate with other data sources to develop a rich, complete picture for the business.
- Strong quantitative reasoning and analytical skills.
- Ability to work rapidly and accurately in a fast-paced environment.
- Outstanding communication and critical thinking skills, as well as the ability to create clear and concise visual presentations.
- Strong multitasking skills and the ability to work effectively in an environment of tight timeframes and constant change.
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:
- Proficiency in data processing tools (e.g., SPSS, Q, MarketSight).
- Experience with survey tools (e.g., Decipher, Qualtrics, SurveyMonkey).
- Experience working with large datasets and big data technologies, ideally cloud-based, including Snowflake, Databricks, or similar.
- Familiarity with R, Python, SAS, STATA, or similar programming languages.
- Advanced degree in Market Research or Statistics.
- Quantitative research background, either supplier-side or client-side.
- Experience with reading survey data to extract actionable insights.
- Experience with subscription-based business models and strategy.

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits
The hiring range for this role is $35 to $45 per hour. The base pay actually offered will consider internal equity and may also vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive devices may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, depending on the level and function offered.
