About the Role

Key Responsibilities

- Develop unit tests and validate expected results to ensure accuracy and integrity of data and applications through analysis, coding, and clear documentation
- Drive the adoption of data processing and analysis within the Hadoop environment and assist in cross-training other team members
- Utilize technical and analytical skills to understand and address client and business-driven questions
- Lead and guide cross-functional projects that involve colleagues across all areas of the project, vendors, external companies, and partners
- Leverage data from various sources to develop data warehouses and insights that provide a comprehensive understanding of the business
- Develop and implement innovative solutions leading to automation and process improvements
- Apply Agile methodologies to manage projects and guide junior developers
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related STEM field
- 3+ years of IT experience in software development
- 2+ years of development experience using Java, Python, Scala
- 2+ years of experience with Big Data technologies like PySpark, Hadoop, Hive, HBASE, Kafka, Nifi
- 2+ years of experience with relational database systems like MS SQL Server, Oracle, Teradata
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Fluency in English (written and spoken)
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:
- A Master's degree in Computer Science or a related STEM field
