Our commitment to excellence, innovation, and customer satisfaction has earned us a reputation as a trusted partner in the industry. **Responsibilities** As a Data Entry Specialist – Specimen Accessioner, your primary responsibilities will include: * Receiving, sorting, and logging all specimens for laboratory testing with accuracy and attention to detail * Collaborating with all departments within the laboratory to ensure testing accuracy and efficiency * Meeting time-sensitive deadlines with precision and attention to detail * Maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in data entry and specimen processing * Adhering to laboratory protocols and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements * Participating in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge **Essential Skills** To succeed in this role, you will need to possess the following essential skills: * Proficiency in data entry with high accuracy and attention to detail * Strong organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with laboratory staff and other departments * Ability to work in a fast-paced laboratory environment with multiple priorities and deadlines * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues and resolve problems **Additional Skills & Qualifications** While not essential, the following skills and qualifications are highly desirable: * High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred * Previous experience in a laboratory or healthcare setting, preferably in data entry or specimen processing * Familiarity with laboratory information systems (LIS) and electronic data capture (EDC) systems * Knowledge of laboratory protocols and procedures, including quality control and quality assurance * Certification in a related field, such as medical laboratory technology (MLT) or clinical laboratory science (CLS) **Work Environment** This position is based in a laboratory environment, where you will work as part of a contract-to-hire arrangement. The role involves working with laboratory equipment and maintaining a focus on precision and timely processing of samples. As a Specimen Accessioner, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our laboratory operations, working closely with laboratory staff and other departments to achieve our goals. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
