About the Role
We're seeking an exceptional AI/ML developer to join our team, working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to apply algorithms to large-scale data and drive business outcomes. As a Data Scientist, you'll be responsible for:
- Designing and implementing AI/ML models to drive business outcomes and improve developer experience
- Collaborating with engineers and other data scientists to deliver end-to-end AI-enabled solutions
- Developing and deploying machine learning models using Python, R, SQL, and other quantitative programming languages
- Ensuring data quality through analysis, modeling, and data preprocessing
- Selecting and fine-tuning ML algorithms to achieve the best predictive performance
- Communicating complex AI/ML concepts to non-technical stakeholders and presenting results in a clear and concise manner
Key Qualifications and Skills
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- 5+ years of experience in the software industry, focused on ML/AI development
- A strong background in quantitative programming languages, such as Python, R, SQL, with experience working with distributed stores like S3, Flash, and Vector Data Set
- Experience with model deployment for experimentation and A/B testing
- A deep understanding of advanced AI/ML algorithms, deep learning, statistics, and large language models
- Strong knowledge of transformer architecture, vector embeddings, and applying models to solve various business problems
- Experience with training models, using foundation models, and fine-tuning or tweaking models to meet custom needs
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to distill complex AI/ML concepts into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders
Preferred qualifications include:
- A BS in Data Science or Computer Science (or related field)
- Experience applying ML methods in developer efficiency
- A strong track record of delivering AI/ML solutions that drive business outcomes
