Job Details and Responsibilities
The Director of Creator Product Activation will be responsible for leading the Creator Product Activation team and setting the strategy to ensure YouTube's long-term success. This will involve collaborating with product teams to advocate for and prioritize the needs of YouTube creators, artists, and partners, as well as driving the adoption of products and needs across segments and functions. Some of the key responsibilities of this role include:
- Managing the strategy, defining, and securing Go-to-Market (GTM) readiness of execution, and day-to-day leadership of the Creator Product Activation team in the YouTube Business Organization
- Conveying market feedback systematically to Product and collaborating with Product partners to address pain points for all clients, partners, creators, and experts
- Identifying, ensuring readiness, and activating product needs through testing and scaling with YouTube partners and creators, and collaborating with product teams to build and execute product roadmaps driving YouTube's ecosystem and business growth
- Defining activation plans, setting product objectives, and developing content strategies across segments/capabilities
- Partnering with stakeholders and cross-functional partners to drive alignment, execution, and overall communications
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong and diverse skillset, including:
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
- At least 3 years of business experience, including experience managing cross-functional and global teams in the technology, web, or media industries
- At least 3 years of experience managing teams
- Excellent business judgment with strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
In addition to the essential qualifications, we are looking for candidates who have:
- Experience working with Product/Engineering teams to build experiences for all clients
- Experience interacting with C-level executives
- Knowledge of YouTube Product/Tech, large partners, and creator ecosystem, YouTube ad sales, or scaled support and operations
- Ability to take ownership and lead a team
