**Job Summary**
We're seeking an experienced customer service representative to join our virtual customer experience team. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for delivering exceptional customer experiences through phone, email, and chat support. You'll work closely with our customers to understand their needs, resolve complex issues, and provide solutions that exceed their expectations.
**Key Responsibilities**
As a remote customer service representative, your key responsibilities will include:
* Communicating with customers via telephone, email, and chat support using strong communication skills, active listening, and empathy
* Driving solutions that best meet the customer's needs, analyzing and resolving complex customer issues
* Ensuring each customer experience is exceptional by leveraging effective listening skills, attention to detail, strong intellectual curiosity, and an honest desire to make a difference
* Efficiently processing transactions and referring requests for other policy modifications to appropriate areas
* Supporting special product and/or service campaigns as needed, or as requested by the customer
* Accessing and navigating multiple electronic systems to provide a complete and integrated response to the customer's inquiry
* Performing these responsibilities in a consistent, professional manner while exercising strong verbal, interpersonal, and high-quality service skills
**What You Need to Succeed**
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
* 2+ years of experience in customer service, with prior call center experience highly preferred
* A strong home internet connection with a minimum speed of 50 Mbps
* High-speed internet (DSL, Cable, Telecommunication, etc.) and the ability to connect to your router/modem via a LAN cable
* A willingness to work in a stationary position for 75% of the time
* Flexibility regarding the ability to work overtime and shift worked, which may change based on business need and bidding process
* A passion for serving customers and a personal commitment to following through in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
* Strong computer/keyboard skills, analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to quickly grasp information and efficiently solve verbal challenges with strategic thinking
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire trust and accountability through an empathetic communication style
**What Can Give You an Edge**
While not required, the following skills and experience will give you an edge in this role:
* 2+ years of experience in customer service, with prior call center experience highly preferred
* High School diploma, GED, some college experience, trade, or professional certification
* A demonstrated ability to quickly learn and continuously develop functional knowledge and an understanding of company products, as well as administrative, claims, underwriting, and marketing functions
* Strong computer/keyboard skills, analytical and trouble-shooting skills, and superb listening skills
* Professional oral and written communication skills, with an ability to inspire trust and accountability through an empathetic communication style
**Training and Onboarding**
As a remote customer service representative, you'll undergo comprehensive training and onboarding to ensure you have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in this role. Our training program includes:
* A 4-week training program in our Warwick, RI office, which will cover the basics of customer service, our products and services, and our company culture
* Ongoing training and development opportunities to help you continuously improve your skills and knowledge
* Regular feedback and coaching to ensure you're meeting the needs of our customers and exceeding their expectations
