**The Role**
As a Data Engineer (L5) - Customer Service, you'll join a dynamic team that's passionate about using data to drive business decisions. Your primary responsibilities will include:
* Collaborating with data engineers, software engineers, and CS business owners to design, develop, and maintain reliable, scalable data pipelines that transform raw data into core business metrics.
* Working with custom visualization tools to surface customer service insights and inform business decisions.
* Developing advanced data models that adapt to changes in source data or business processes.
* Designing and implementing data quality checks to ensure accurate and reliable data.
* Analyzing business problems and developing metrics to measure customer service performance.

**Requirements**
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
* At least 4 years of experience engineering data pipelines using big data technologies (Hive, Presto, Spark, Flink) on medium to large-scale data sets (10s of millions of records).
* Strong data modeling skills, with the ability to design structures that adapt to changes in source data or business processes.
* Advanced proficiency in Python or Scala, with a passion for writing clean, supportable code.
* Strong analytical aptitude, with the ability to think through business problems and prioritize autonomously.
* Excellent communication and partnership skills, with the ability to work effectively with analysts, engineers, and business leaders.
