Job Summary
We're seeking an experienced Full Stack Data Engineer III to join our Walmart eCommerce Marketplace Strategy and Analytics team. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex data pipelines that drive business insights and decision-making. You'll work closely with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to solve complex problems and drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain complex data pipelines using Big Data Platforms like Spark, Hadoop, and BigQuery
- Create real-time data streaming and processing using Kafka and/or Spark streaming
- Develop data pipelines with Apache Airflow and optimize queries for large data sets
- Partner with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to solve complex business problems
- Develop and maintain data governance processes and documentation
- Contribute to the development of business cases and recommendations
- Support the implementation of data governance practices
- Develop and maintain data models, including conceptual, physical, and logical data models
- Write code to develop required solutions and application features
- Test and deploy software to production servers
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- At least 3+ years of experience in data engineering and analytics using Big Data Platforms like Spark, Hadoop, and BigQuery
- Strong programming skills in SQL, Java, Python, and Scala
- Experience with Apache Airflow and distributed SQL query engines like Presto
- Experience with public cloud platforms like Azure or Google Cloud
- Experience with relational database platforms like SQL Server, MySQL, Informix, and Oracle
Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with data governance and data modeling
- Experience with data transformation and integration
- Experience with data source identification and data quality checks
- Experience with code development and testing
