Job Summary
The successful candidate will play a critical role in developing and sustaining coverage, providing departmental insights on performance, and creating data models to solve complex quantitative tasks. Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for creating new, modifying existing, and performing ad-hoc reporting in support of business processes and data-driven decision making.
- Develop and maintain complex data quality standards and controls to ensure data integrity and accessibility.
- Manage and create new data pipelines from source systems to the Data Warehouse.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders, including Monitoring and Business Analysts, to understand business needs, maintain comprehensive documentation, and obtain business sign-offs for all reporting requirements.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data architecture.
- Apply data storytelling principles to create clear and impactful data visualizations using Power BI.
- Assist in automating existing business functions and enhancing exception-based reporting.
- Partner with IT and stakeholders to identify, analyze, and acquire new data variables (data mining).
- Analyze large datasets to identify relevant patterns that provide actionable insights.
- Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources and resolve discrepancies.
- Validate data for accuracy by verifying against requirements.
- Investigate data errors and remediate poor data quality.
- Participate in the Data Governance program by updating the data dictionary and policies & procedures.
- Review and validate metrics are effective and provide feedback to team leaders on areas that require attention.
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- 2+ years of experience performing comprehensive data analysis.
- Strong experience working with Power BI, including creating complex dashboards and reports.
- Proficiency in working with various reporting objects, such as Dimensions, Measures, Filters, Computed Columns, transformations, parameters, conditional formatting, DAX queries, Interactions, etc. in Power BI.
- Knowledge of DAX, SQL, and M Code.
- Efficiency in SQL, with the ability to write complex SQL queries to create reports and analytics.
- Experience with ETL tools, such as SSIS, Power BI Dataflows, or other Big Data integrations.
- Strong data modeling experience using star schema or other methodologies.
- Problem-solving skills with statistical analysis and large data sets highly preferred.
- Experience with SSMS (SQL Server Management Studio), Power BI, and Power Query.
- Experience with Smartsheets.
- Strong work ethic and ability to progress and complete tasks and deadlines in a timely manner.
Preferred Qualifications
While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable:
- Experience working in a remote environment and collaborating with distributed teams.
- Knowledge of data governance and data quality best practices.
- Experience with data visualization tools, such as Tableau or D3.js.
