As a Senior Big Data Software Engineer at arenaflex, you'll be part of our esteemed Data Entry team, responsible for delivering high-quality data solutions to our clients. In this role, you'll lead complex projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive innovation in data management. **Key Responsibilities:**
* Lead reasonably complex projects and initiatives within technical areas
* Contribute to large-scale planning of methodologies
* Design, code, test, troubleshoot, and report for projects and initiatives related to technology space, including upgrades and implementations
* Audit complex technical challenges that require an in-depth assessment of technologies and methodologies
* Resolve complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new client needs while utilizing strong understanding of the capability, strategies, systems, or compliance requirements
* Collaborate and communicate with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve objectives
* Lead tasks and serve as a subject matter expert, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff
**Required Capabilities:**
* 3+ years of programming experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education
* 3+ years of active experience in Hadoop
* 3+ years of experience in Teradata
* 3+ years of experience in MongoDB
* 3+ years of experience in AWS
* 3+ years of experience in GitHub and Bitbucket
* 3+ years of experience planning, coding, testing, troubleshooting, and recording for projects and initiatives
* 3+ years of experience in Python and Unix/Shell scripting, Scala, Flash, HBase, Oozie, Flume, and Kafka
* 3+ years of experience in Ansible
**Desired Capabilities:**
* Strong interpersonal skills (verbal and written) across all hierarchical levels of technical and non-technical audiences
* Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment and have a proactive mindset
* Experience in designing ETL data streams using mapping/work processes to extract data from SQL Server and Data Migration and Change from Prophet/Access/Excel Sheets using SQL Server SSIS
* Related experience working as a Programmer at arenaflex
