Key Responsibilities
- Drive Sales Growth: Contribute directly to sales and margin objectives within assigned categories, analyzing market trends and developing strategies to optimize sales performance.
- Data Analysis and Insights: Dissect important data and integrate findings and recommendations into Class Plans for marketing programs, including ideal SKU blend, Extracare loyalty program, and special projects.
- Strategic Execution: Drive the tactical execution of everyday assortment activities, such as tracking off-rack plans, monitoring promotional periods, and performing analysis to make corrective actions if necessary.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with an internal team of Blithequark experts in Stock, Estimating, Promotion, Finance, Store Brands, Store Design, Marketing, and Store Operations to ensure alignment and effective execution of marketing strategies.
- Competitive Analysis: Analyze sales records and stock levels of current stock, identify areas for improvement, and develop strategies to enhance sales performance.
- Flow Contest and Competitive Opportunities: Create and maintain a strong understanding of flow contest; search out new competitive opportunities and make recommendations to drive sales growth.
- Market Research: Stay up-to-date with changes in the market, research customer product preferences, provider costs, and the competitive landscape to inform marketing strategies.
Essential Qualifications
- Retail Math Concepts: Working knowledge of retail math concepts and demonstrated application.
- Technical Skills: Specialized knowledge in MS Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint; some experience with Access or other database software.
- Travel Requirements: Willingness to travel 5-10%.
