Job Summary
As a Customer Service Representative at Blithequark, you will be the face of our store, providing exceptional service to our customers and driving sales. You will be responsible for greeting customers, assisting them with selection of merchandise, completing transactions, and answering questions regarding the store and merchandise. Key Responsibilities
- Customer Engagement: Provide customer engagement in a positive and approachable manner, ensuring that every customer leaves the store satisfied and valued.
- Store Maintenance: Assist in maintaining a clean, well-stocked store for customers during their shopping experience, including unloading merchandise from delivery trucks, organizing merchandise, and transporting merchandise from stockroom to sales floor.
- Shelf Stocking and Merchandise Recovery: Independently stock shelves and recover merchandise in the store, ensuring that the sales floor is always well-stocked and organized.
- Transaction Processing: Accurately handle customer funds and process transactions using the POS system, ensuring that every transaction is processed efficiently and accurately.
- Customer Safety and Security: Remain constantly aware of customer activity to ensure a safe and secure shopping environment, responding promptly to any incidents or concerns.
- Additional Duties: Perform all other duties as assigned in order to maintain an effective and profitable store operation, including supporting sales promotions, participating in inventory management, and contributing to the overall success of the store.
Position Requirements
Education
We prefer candidates who have completed high school or equivalent. The ability to follow directives and interpret retail operational documents as assigned is essential for success in this role.
Experience
Previous experience working in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environments is preferred. We are looking for candidates who have a passion for customer service and a proven track record of delivering exceptional service in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Requirements
The physical demands of this role include:
- Lifting up to 40lbs. (and occasionally, up to 55 lbs.) from floor level to above shoulder height
- Frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting
- Ability to meet demands of physical labor with or without reasonable accommodation
Availability
We are looking for candidates who are available to work a flexible, full-time schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
