Job Summary
We're seeking an experienced and compassionate Customer Service Representative to join our team on a full-time, remote basis. As a key member of our customer service team, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional patient experiences, resolving complex issues, and providing support to patients, providers, and other medical staff. Key Responsibilities
- Respond to a minimum of 11 inbound calls per hour, resolving moderate to complex issues and providing exceptional customer service
- Schedule and verify appointments in our clinical information system, ensuring seamless patient care
- Verify and update patient demographic and insurance information, maintaining accurate records
- Send and receive tasks to provider offices, facilitating patient access to medical care
- Receive and process expedited, stat, and at-risk referrals, ensuring timely and effective care
- Contact patients to advise of appointment and referral status, providing proactive support
- Perform high-volume data entry, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records
- Process and resolve expedited patient complaints, demonstrating empathy and problem-solving skills
- Review and process medication refills, ensuring patients receive necessary treatment
- Proactively respond to inquiries from patients, providers, and internal medical personnel, providing timely and effective support
Requirements and Qualifications
Essential Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 6+ months of call center experience, with a proven track record of providing exceptional customer service
- 6+ months of customer service experience, with a strong understanding of customer needs and concerns
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Outlook, and Word
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during normal business hours (7am-8pm, Monday-Friday, 7am-5pm, Saturday-Sunday)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Medical terminology knowledge, with a strong understanding of healthcare concepts and terminology
- Advanced knowledge of insurance products, with experience navigating complex insurance systems
- Training in a medical office-related field, with experience working in a healthcare setting
- CPT and ICD-10 coding knowledge, with experience working with medical coding systems

To succeed in this role, you'll need to demonstrate:
- Exceptional customer service skills, with a strong understanding of patient needs and concerns
- Solid oral and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with patients, providers, and internal stakeholders
- Strong listening, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex issues
- Ability to prioritize call types, managing multiple tasks and responsibilities
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accurate records and perform high-volume data entry
