Job Summary
We are seeking experienced High School Tutors/Teachers to join our team of educators. As a High School Tutor/Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching students in one-on-one and small group settings, with a focus on providing individualized support and guidance. You will have the opportunity to work with students in a variety of subjects, including AP Environmental Science, AP Computer Science, Algebra II, Honors English, and more.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach students in one-on-one and small group settings, with a focus on providing individualized support and guidance
- Develop and implement lesson plans that cater to the unique needs and abilities of each student
- Provide feedback and guidance to students, helping them to set and achieve their academic goals
- Collaborate with other educators to develop and implement curriculum and instructional strategies
- Communicate with parents and guardians to provide updates on student progress and to solicit feedback and support
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices in education and to enhance your teaching skills
Qualifications and Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in education, as well as excellent teaching and communication skills. You must be comfortable working with students in one-on-one and small group settings, and you must be able to provide individualized support and guidance. You must also be punctual, reliable, and authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Essential Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in education or a related field
- Experience teaching high school students, either in a traditional classroom setting or in a tutoring environment
- Strong knowledge of high school curriculum, including AP Environmental Science, AP Computer Science, Algebra II, Honors English, and more
- Excellent teaching and communication skills, with the ability to provide individualized support and guidance to students
- Punctual, reliable, and authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications
- A master's degree in education or a related field
- Experience working with students in a tutoring environment, either in a center-based setting or online
- Strong knowledge of educational technology, including online learning platforms and educational software
- Experience with curriculum development and instructional design
- Bilingual or multilingual skills, with the ability to communicate with students and parents in multiple languages
