We are currently seeking an experienced Non-Model Risk Group Risk Specialist to join our team in the US, focusing on providing comprehensive risk management expertise and leading the implementation of risk frameworks to mitigate enterprise-wide risk exposures.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for a diverse range of risk management activities, including:
- Providing governance and oversight for non-models, which are analytical tools used to support business processes and are not considered models, to reduce risk to the bank by ensuring that non-models are identified, risk-tiered, and inventoried correctly.
- Understanding the Model Risk Management lifecycle, governance, and End User Computing Tools to support the governance of non-models.
- Leading and supporting the implementation of appropriate risk frameworks and related management activities to mitigate enterprise and/or business-wide risk exposures for key business segments of the bank or functional areas.
- Providing oversight, commentary, and recommendations based on overall strategy and industry best practices to business leaders.
- Acting as a technical expert and lead, integrating cross-functional understanding within their own field of specialty, and managing teams of related specialists.
- Leading cross-functional teams or projects with significant resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity, and independently managing end-to-end functional programs.
- Solving complex problems and leading efforts to develop new solutions, using sophisticated analytical thought to exercise judgment and identify solutions.
Essential and Preferred Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- An undergraduate degree or technical certificate in a relevant field, such as risk management, finance, or business administration.
- At least 7 years of relevant experience in risk management, with advanced knowledge of risk management governance, programs, policies, practices, operating frameworks, and reporting for business-supported areas and/or areas of discipline.
- Knowledge of the risk management environment, standards, regulations, and mitigation strategies, as well as current and emerging competitor and market trends.
- Advanced skills in using analytical software tools, data analysis methods, and reporting techniques, as well as proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form, and to work collaboratively and build relationships across teams and functions.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with non-model risk governance, model risk management, and end-user computing tools, as well as knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards.

- A base salary range of $86,840 - $139,360 USD, depending on experience and qualifications.
