Job Overview
The OT Systems Engineer will be responsible for creating, planning, testing, integrating, and conveying framework software and hardware solutions. Key Responsibilities
- Creates, plans, tests, integrates, and conveys framework software and hardware solutions to meet business needs and requirements
- Provides field support and leads site visits to assess performance, review installations, and provide project support
- Tests applications to ensure plans meet requirements, business needs, and determines the best solutions
- Manages project lifecycles, including project scope, resources, design, inception, startup/planning, construction, and deployment
- Works collaboratively with vendors, contractors, electrical and mechanical contractors, and local cross-functional staff to effectively meet project objectives regarding system functionality, system performance, and system reliability
- Identifies issues that need to be resolved by specialists or application developers quickly
- Communicates with supervisory team to provide updates and ensure effective execution of plans
- Gathers data from tried solutions to compare with benchmarking data and ensure effectiveness
- Performs field verification to ensure installed solutions meet clients' and company's installation standards
- Manages vendors and contractors for workstation, server, and embedded system program development for complex control systems
Essential Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field, with a strong background in operational technology. The following qualifications are essential:
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends
- Travel requirement of 80-90%
- Experience with Advanced Mechanics Framework Development and Integrations (desired)
- Experience with C++, Python, Drawl, MatLab (desired)
- Extensive experience with Linux-based Operating System Environments (desired)
- Experience in advanced mechanics or material handling system designs/development/applications/integrations (desired)
- Familiarity with current security methods and guidelines (desired)
