**Job Summary:**
We're seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Administrative Support Specialist to join our team on a part-time basis. As a remote worker, you'll provide administrative support to our Adult Detox and Crisis Recovery Unit, working closely with our staff to ensure seamless operations. **Key Responsibilities:**
As an Administrative Support Specialist, you'll be responsible for the following key tasks:
* **Data Entry and Reporting:** Utilize spreadsheets and databases to organize information, produce standard reports, and maintain accurate records. Prepare complex disbursement forms, financial statements, and other documents for routing and approval.
* **Accounting and Financial Management:** Set up accounts, reconcile ledgers, gather data for budget preparation, and prepare various accounting forms. Identify discrepancies, make corrections, and collect required documents.
* **Procurement and Logistics:** Verify requests for goods and services against County contracts and funding sources. Order goods or services, resolve discrepancies, and ensure timely delivery.
* **Project Management and Training:** Establish and maintain systems for tracking work progress, train new employees, and provide relevant policies and procedures. Compose routine correspondence on behalf of management.
* **Scheduling and Coordination:** Schedule appointments, maintain calendars, and coordinate audio-visual equipment. Type complex documents, proofread for spelling and grammar, and use multiple software applications to prepare information.
* **Payroll Processing and HR Support:** Verify timesheets, research and resolve payroll discrepancies, complete and verify data entry, distribute paychecks, and provide information on payroll issues. Maintain attendance and leave tracking records.
**Essential Qualifications:**
* High school diploma or equivalent
* Two years of administrative support experience
* Associate's Degree in Business Administration or related field (preferred)
* Experience can substitute for education, and education can substitute for experience
**Preferred Qualifications:**
* Experience working in a healthcare or social services setting
* Familiarity with data management systems and software applications
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite
