Job Overview
As a High School Math Tutor, you will be responsible for providing one-on-one tutoring services to students in grades 9-12, focusing on high school math, homework prep, and other related subjects. Our ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of mathematics, excellent communication skills, and the ability to adapt to different learning styles.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, one-on-one tutoring services to students in grades 9-12, focusing on high school math, homework prep, and other related subjects.
- Develop and implement effective lesson plans to meet the individual needs of each student.
- Communicate regularly with students, parents, and our office to ensure seamless service delivery and address any concerns or questions.
- Maintain accurate records of tutoring sessions, including session reports and student progress.
- Follow up with our office to ensure that students' enrollment packages are up-to-date and that their needs are met.
- Service existing clients' concerns, questions, and requests in a professional and timely manner.
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the education field, with a preference for experience in tutoring/teaching in specialized education fields.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in tutoring/teaching high school math or related subjects.
- Credentialed tutors and/or graduate degrees are a plus but not a requirement.
- Experience with basic database/data entry and strong administrative skills.
- Ability to prepare accordingly for each tutoring session (lesson plan) and adapt to different learning styles.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and our office team.
- Reliable transportation with current car insurance and access to the internet, a computer, and a smartphone.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with students with diverse learning needs and abilities.
- Knowledge of curriculum and instructional methods for high school math and related subjects.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to customer service and student success.
- Experience with data analysis and reporting, with the ability to provide insights and recommendations for improvement.
