Job Overview
We are looking for a talented and compassionate Customer Service Representative to apply the latest customer service techniques and learn our account management systems while helping improve the customer experience during challenging times. This part-time position offers approximately 3-29 hours per week, with flexible scheduling to accommodate your needs. As a remote position, you will have the opportunity to work from the comfort of your own home office.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service and technical expertise through prompt, accurate, and courteous responses to customer inquiries
- Offer empathy and support to customers during the claim process, ensuring a positive and compassionate experience
- Collect and document all claim details provided by the customer into the claim system accurately and efficiently
- Identify and resolve customer issues by adhering to client-specific handling instructions and utilizing call scripting to ensure consistency and efficiency
- Demonstrate punctuality and reliability, remaining available for extended hours or additional shifts during peak periods or emergency situations to provide critical support
- Adhere to break and lunch schedules to maintain productivity and ensure consistent customer service coverage
- Successfully demonstrate blithequark's core values, including customer-first approach, self-motivation, teamwork, and continuous improvement
Required Skills and Abilities
To excel in this role, you will need:
- Excellent language skills, including the ability to read and interpret documents such as police and accident reports, write routine correspondence, and project a confident, clear, and professional telephone presence
- Bi-lingual proficiency in Spanish is highly preferred
- Basic computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, and the ability to type at least 40 words per minute
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide feedback verbally and in writing in a positive and professional manner
Education and Experience
We require:
- A High School Diploma or general education degree (GED)
- 1-2 years of quality assurance experience is preferred, but not essential
Network Requirements
To ensure a seamless and secure working experience, you will need:
- A reliable computer with a stable internet connection
- A speed test result from the computer you will be working from (www.speedtest.net)
- An Ethernet connection is not required but strongly recommended
- A private network, as working in public locations is not permitted
- No VPNs are allowed, as logins must occur in the US
