Job Overview

Key Responsibilities
- Leads and coaches a team of specialists, providing technical direction, sharing best practices, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
- Drives and adheres to modern software practices through design reviews, ensuring the development of high-quality data examination and reporting solutions.
- Manages system design through distinct interfaces across various components, code reviews, and utilizing data/telemetry to inform decisions.
- Develops "top-tier" engineering for our services, ensuring that services and components are clear, modular, secure, reliable, diagnosable, easily monitored, and reusable.
- Improves test coverage for services, organizes and implements integration tests, and resolves trouble spots.
- Ensures testability, compactness/checking, reliability, and practicality, and understands when code is fit to be shared and deployed.
- Focuses on business needs through a data-driven approach, investigating and improving automation, reliability, and monitoring for deployed products.
- Sets the essential vision for data examination and reporting, aligning with organizational objectives, and provides leadership in directing the overall course of data examination technical drives.
- Plans, develops, and optimizes complex data models and reporting structures, driving the design and implementation of flexible and efficient data examination and reporting structures.
- Ensures the integrity, security, and performance of data products and reporting solutions by partnering with platforms, data architecture, and administration groups.
- Defines and implements the long-term technical strategy for data examination, incorporating technologies and industry trends.
- Stays up-to-date with emerging technologies and evaluates their relevance to the organization.
- Collaborates with cross-functional groups, including data scientists, business analysts, data engineers, platforms specialists, and IT professionals, to develop comprehensive data solutions.
- Fosters a collaborative environment that encourages knowledge sharing and skill development, leading technical authority groups and lunch and learn meetings to enhance the designing community within the organization.
Essential Qualifications
- Demonstrated history with at least 15 years of active experience in data examination and reporting roles.
- 5 years of experience in leadership or senior roles, showing the ability to effectively guide and lead a team.
- 5 years of experience working with Cloud technologies, such as ADLS, Azure Databricks, Flash, Azure Neural Network, Universe DB, DBT, and other big data technologies.
- Proven advanced capability in data analysis tools, languages, ML, and systems (e.g., Conos, PowerBI, SQL, Python, R).
- Proficiency in data visualization tools, such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools to effectively communicate insights.
- Demonstrated ability to work with cloud platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, to design and implement flexible and efficient data examination solutions.
- In-depth understanding and practical application of Lakehouse architecture principles, combining the best of data lakes and data warehouses for powerful and flexible data management.
- Advanced SQL skills, with a strong understanding of relational databases and business data to write complex SQL queries against multiple data sources.
- Experience managing high-volume and high-speed data streams, and designing systems that can handle the demands of real-time or near-real-time analysis.
- Experience in shaping the essential vision for data examination and reporting drives within an organization.
- Effective management of data examination projects, including planning, execution, and delivery.
- Demonstrated ability to drive innovation, adapt to emerging technologies, and implement industry best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to assume ownership and responsibility for critical issues and close them to resolution.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Informatics, Data Science, or a related technical discipline.
- Relevant industry certifications are a plus.
- Experience in retail, manufacturing, e-commerce, supply chain, or related industries.

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits
arenaflex offers a comprehensive package of benefits, including paid time off, medical benefits, healthcare reimbursement account, dependent care assistance plan, short-term disability and long-term disability insurance, AD&D insurance, life insurance, 401(k), and stock buy plan to qualified employees. The salary range for this position is $160,000 - $230,000, with bonus and restricted stock unit eligibility.
