Key Responsibilities
- Promote and sell air journeys to the traveling public or freight forwarders
- Provide assistance with passenger check-in and load acceptance
- Interpret authority's guidelines and requirements for domestic and international journeys or shipment shipments
- Meet and dispatch aircraft within set-up times
- Provide assistance to troubled passengers and clients
- Protect company properties and revenue
- Ensure a safe travel experience for our customers
- Possess the physical capability and dexterity to apply motor skills to perform various job-related duties
- Use organizational skills to perform multiple tasks within a limited time period
- Be self-motivated and require minimal supervision
- Respond and assist during safety and emergency situations
- Follow internal/external regulations and procedures
- May be required to drive and operate air stairs to enplane and deplane passengers
- Responsible for the overall performance within the work location and may be required to lead and direct the work of other employees
- May be required to perform Passenger Operation Control functions, including air-to-ground communication, as well as Tower functions
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to meet the following minimum qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Read, write, fluently speak, and understand the English language
- Bilingual language skills are required in some locations
- Applicable valid driver's license as required by local authorities
- Must satisfy FAA criminal background checks to qualify for unescorted admission to privileges to airport security identity display areas (SIDA), if applicable
- Must be able to obtain suitable airport authority and/or US Customs security badges, if applicable
- Ability to work irregular and/or extended hours, including weekends and holidays
- Must report to work on a regular and timely basis
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:
- Previous experience in customer service or a related field
- Knowledge of the air travel industry or freight forwarding
- Experience with software applications and technology
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations
