This role is an integral part of the Payments and Digital Strategy team at arenaflex Credit Union. As a Member Services Representative, you'll be responsible for a range of tasks related to check processing, item processing, direct bills, and fund transfers. Key Responsibilities
- Complete data entry and balancing tasks with precision and accuracy
- Coordinate return items with members, vendors, the Federal Reserve Bank, and other institutions
- Assist other departments with fraud resolution, member inquiries, and related Accounting standard ledger balancing
- Work on member cases and tasks assigned to you, ensuring timely and effective resolution
- Follow and maintain guidelines and procedures to ensure strict compliance with NACHA regulations and guidelines, as well as Federal Banking laws
- Process loan payments, multi-account and member deposits, credit card payments, and other checks, including IRA, bankruptcy, and payoff checks
- Review, examine, and approve Remote Deposit, Mobile, ATM, and other imaged-enabled products
- Log, report, and make necessary GL, account changes, and/or returns
- Process Stop Pays and Check Batching with attention to detail
- Complete daily balancing and department closing tasks with accuracy
- Obtain information from members for timely and accurate processing of international and domestic fund transfer requests
- Research and confirm incoming and outgoing fund transfer information
- Communicate with vendors to process fund transfers efficiently
- Understand and be familiar with outgoing and incoming fund transfer laws and regulations
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- A high school diploma or GED
- Intermediate Excel and Word skills
Preferred Qualifications
While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable:
- Previous customer/member service experience
- Previous banking or Credit Union experience
- Episys/Symitar and processing wires knowledge
Skills, Licenses, and Certifications
To excel in this role, you'll need:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software (e.g., Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
- Ability to work extended hours in support of business needs
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple tasks and functioning as an integral part of a team
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations and analyze data
- Ability to effectively prioritize work and meet deadlines under high-volume pressure
- Ability to cross-train and perform any role assigned within the department

- Ability to self-motivate with strong organizational skills and attention to detail
