Job Overview
In this role, you'll be an integral part of our Engineering Team, providing critical support to our Technical Operations Division. As a member of the A319/A320/A321 Fleet Engineering Team, you'll play a key role in troubleshooting and resolving operational issues on transport category aircraft. Key Responsibilities
- Keep informed of day-to-day airline operations involving your field of responsibility, staying up-to-date on the latest developments and trends in the industry.
- Assess daily priorities in accordance with airline/departmental objectives and management directives, ensuring that you're focused on the most critical tasks and projects.
- Investigate aircraft/component problems that may cause aircraft delays or cancellations, substantial expenditures in manpower or materials, or interruptions in maintenance operations, and determine appropriate corrective actions.
- Provide Engineering support as required for the disposition of discrepant conditions affecting aircraft or components, working to restore serviceable status and minimize downtime.
- Respond to requests from Maintenance and other airline departments when technical assistance is required to support projects or resolve problems, providing expert guidance and support.
- Develop action plans for fleet/multi-fleet and/or component engineering projects, pursuing final dispositions according to assessed priorities and ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Coordinate with other airline departments, as required, to provide for effective and efficient implementation of engineering dispositions, collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve shared goals.
- Prepare Engineering documents to implement technical dispositions, providing customized procedures for repairs, modifications, inspections, or other maintenance actions that provide benefits in accordance with airline/departmental objectives and management directives.
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you'll need to have a strong foundation in aviation engineering, as well as excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. You should be a team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to work effectively with colleagues at all levels of the organization. A bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related discipline, is required.
