- Reviewing entered data to identify errors or discrepancies and performing audits to ensure ongoing quality and accuracy
- Facilitating corrections to incorrect data entry and escalating challenging problems to management
- Generating and running reports to verify, correct, and update information
- Staying abreast of changes to workflows, policies, and procedures and educating internal team members on applicable changes
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED
- 3+ years of data entry experience in a corporate or business setting, managed healthcare, hospital, or insurance environment
- Demonstrated proficiency in data collection, entry, and reporting
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
Preferred Qualifications
While not essential, the following qualifications are preferred:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Data Management, or a related field
- Solid data management experience, preferably within managed care, referral management, patient appointing, and/or patient administration functions
