As a remote transcriptionist, you will play a critical role in producing high-quality, verbatim transcripts for our federal, state, and local clients. Key Responsibilities
- Produce verbatim transcripts for federal, state, and local clients with a standard turnaround time of 5 to 7 days, with some jobs available at higher rates with shorter turnaround times.
- Ensure all transcripts meet or surpass 98% accuracy, demonstrating strong attention to detail and research capabilities.
- Utilize exceptional listening skills to accurately capture verbatim testimony.
- Format transcripts according to client requirements, such as Bluebook, GPO, GAO, Chicago, Associated Press, or other style guides.
- Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Word 2013 or newer and other software required for transcription.
- Commit to at least 20 physical hours per week, with the flexibility to adjust your schedule as needed.
Essential Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Typing speed of at least 70 WPM.
- At least 1 year of legal transcription experience.
- Strong attention to detail and research capabilities.
- Exceptional written communication skills, including proper spelling, punctuation, and grammar.
- Working knowledge of legal formatting requirements and style guides.
- Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word 2013 or newer.
- Reliable high-speed internet service and a Windows-based PC with Windows 7 or higher.
- Quality headphones and an Infinity USB foot pedal.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with federal, state, or local clients.
- Familiarity with e-QIP or eAPP federal background check processes.
- Knowledge of multiple style guides and formatting requirements.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.

Compensation and Benefits
