Key Responsibilities

Develop overall project plans, driving progress from design through launch by identifying milestones and critical paths

Build and maintain strong relationships with various cross-functional teams to ensure overall program alignment

Manage and direct the construction process, including managing contractors, coordinating with vendors, tracking project costs, and ensuring that all work is completed to the expected standards

Review plans for constructability and identify innovative value engineering opportunities

Manage and maintain project documentation, including contracts, drawings, specifications, and other project-related records

Manage procurement by creating biddable work packages, requesting bids, and conducting bid analysis to select high-quality, high-value proposals

Investigate, walk down, and resolve issues that arise in the field

Uphold and maintain high standards for construction and installation

Improve project quality by coordinating system commissioning assignments and driving punch list close-out

Effectively manage complex contracted and self-performed construction projects

Create, steward, and drive project plans, addressing critical paths and communicating detours and skilled to affecting and resolving site issues

Manage project workers safely, efficiently, and with a focus on quality

Develop and maintain site-specific logistics and performance plans

Collaborate with engineering teams to proactively resolve design issues

Ensure installation meets end-users' requirements and quality expectations

Schedule and lead quality control and all necessary inspections, such as with city, vendor, or other stakeholders

Coordinate equipment installation, move-in, securing, and utilities connection efforts

Support commissioning team with punch closing, testing, empowerment, and start-up efforts

Essential Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management, or equivalent experience

Relevant experience in project management, preferably in the renewable energy sector

Infrastructure project management experience from concept to delivery, with strategic experience preferred

Proven track record of driving challenging projects and teams to completion

Excellent communication and documentation skills, with the ability to understand complex issues and distill the message into a clear plan

High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Primavera P6 (or Microsoft Project)

Knowledge of lean construction principles and fully integrated design using BIM

Ability to execute multiple projects in parallel with a high degree of efficiency

Positive, can-do attitude and a strong work ethic

Preferred Qualifications

Advanced degree in Engineering or Construction Management

Certifications in project management, such as PMP or Agile

Experience with Tesla battery development or similar technologies

Knowledge of industry-specific software and tools, such as project management information systems

Experience working in a remote or virtual team environment
