Key Responsibilities
As an Experienced Remote Senior Bookkeeper, you will play a leadership role in the CAS team, overseeing the delivery of bookkeeping services to clients and ensuring that work is completed to a high standard. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Assigning new Accounting Services clients to the appropriate staff person and reassigning jobs as needed to maintain a level workload.
- Monitoring workload and status of work deliverables, ensuring that deadlines are met and clients are satisfied.
- Developing and implementing standards and procedures to ensure consistency of general services jobs.
- Providing timely and meaningful feedback to the CAS Director for use in annual evaluations of staff members.
- Reviewing financial statements prepared by staff on multiple bases of accounting, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Meeting with current and prospective clients to assess needs, make recommendations for bookkeeping procedures and technology offerings, and provide training as needed.
- Providing client support as needed, responding to queries and resolving issues in a professional and timely manner.
- Leading, directing, and instructing CAS associates, providing guidance and support to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge needed to deliver high-quality services.
Essential and Preferred Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in bookkeeping and public accounting, with a minimum of 5 years' experience as a full charge bookkeeper. You will also need:
- An Accounting or Business degree, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Well-rounded knowledge and technical skills in the area of bookkeeping services, including experience with QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop.
- The ability to lead, direct, and instruct CAS associates, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work in a professional manner with confidence and ease in the presence of staff and client representatives.
- The ability to delegate effectively, prioritizing tasks and managing workload to meet deadlines.
