About the Role
We are excited to announce an exceptional opportunity for a Senior General Ledger Accountant to join our dynamic team. As a Senior GL Accountant, you will play a critical role in driving process improvements, ensuring accurate reporting of working costs, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives. This 100% remote position offers the flexibility to work from anywhere, and you will report directly to our Senior Accounting Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare journal entries and monthly account reconciliations for assigned areas of the general ledger
- Be a key owner of the monthly close process for our company and foreign entities for specifically assigned functional areas
- Maintain financial records for management and GAAP consolidated financial statements using accepted methodologies
- Assist with providing forecasts to external auditors on annual audits and quarterly reviews
- Communicate with FP&A, operational partners, and external parties regarding significant accounting matters
- Conduct ad-hoc investigations and projects to further our process improvement initiatives
About You
We are looking for a highly motivated and self-directed individual who is passionate about accounting and process improvement. You should have a "make it happen" attitude, be able to think creatively, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. You should also possess excellent business acumen, be data-driven, and have a strong attention to detail.
Essential Qualifications
- 2+ years of relevant accounting experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, CPA certification a plus
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP, PCAOB standards, SOX/internal controls
- Experience with NetSuite, Coupa, GSuite preferred
- Excellent spreadsheet skills, with the ability to manipulate and analyze large datasets
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a remote or distributed team environment
- Knowledge of accounting software and systems, such as NetSuite or similar
- Experience with process improvement initiatives and implementation of new accounting systems
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to guide and support junior team members
